Mike Whitman
Owner
Mike founded WhitCo Insurance Agency in November of 2007 and brings decades of entrepreneurial experience to the business. Prior to WhitCo, he successfully owned and operated a chain of automotive parts stores, a computer sales company, and a charter fishing enterprise. Mike became a licensed insurance agent in 1998, specializing in helping clients identify and secure appropriate coverage to protect their homes and property.
Outside of work, Mike is an avid fisherman and formerly wrote a fishing column in the St. Petersburg Times, where he offered tips and advice for fellow anglers. He enjoys traveling the country is his RV along with his wife and his faithful canine companion, Bear. Mike has 3 grown children and is a proud grandfather to five grandchildren.
